Joined the club. Flew out and drove it 600 miles back. Dealer picked me up at the airport. Couldn't be happier at the moment.
I'm coming from a 2012 Volvo S60 T6 R with Polestar tune. That one has a lot of broad torque due to the turbo (350 lb/ft) and AWD, at a similar weight. Its Aisin 6-speed is somehow tuned better than Lexus'. But the IS500 engine can't be beat. Can't stop doing pulls
2024 IS500 Performance Premium, Incognito on White
I LOVE THIS CAR! It's everything I wish my IS350 F sport was. I located this unicorn in NY and had it shipped to TX and have had it just over a month now. These pics are from picking it up at the shop after getting PPF, ceramic, and tint. I wanted an LE so bad when they came out but it wasn't the right time and then finally the stars aligned and I pulled the trigger this year and I actually prefer the 2024 with the all black mirrors and white interior option. I initially wanted the blue vector but after seeing a RAV4 in that color parked next to me at the dentist office I changed my mind. It was a sign and I obliged. As much as I admire that color, I just couldn't see myself driving it daily and fully loving it (no offense to the BV owners!) Next step is to install what I call the "500 Starter Kit" (spacers, springs, and exhaust).

I suspect I will feel the same way. I've owned a 2014 IS350, 2017 IS300, and now a 2021 IS350. The IS is the perfect car for me but I always wanted more power. Bingo.

I couldn't agree more with this. I don't love the color myself but I could see where people love it. My biggest gripe is the lack of exclusivity on the color, not even just across Lexus but including entry level Toyotas. With so many great colors they could have chosen...I digress.

Right??? That was the other main reason I changed my mind. I really, really, really love Grecian Water too but didn't want to buy a used '23. I wish Toyota/Lexus would've kept the special edition colors unique to the IS500.

Agreed on the black mirrors. I prefer the painted mirrors, maybe it's just me but all black mirrors seem to interrupt the paint aesthetics since they attach to the door rather than the window.... but anyways, for some reason incognito with all black mirrors isn't too harsh. It gives it that better "stealth" appearance with more black.

Lexus has done darker mirrors for some models. All years of the GS F the mirrors were gray. The LC 500 and the RC F from the 2020+ refresh have done the body color bottom and black top like the IS 500 '22-'23. Personally I prefer the whole mirror body color but it is an imperfect world.
^^ I agree with you - In general, I prefer the 2 tone mirror but this has a stealth look about it

I agree with you both. Grays tend to flatten out and blend in (IMO), but the black mirror caps fight against it. For other colors it appears aftermarket and disrupts the flow. (Again…IMO.) 😎
Just picked up this 2024 Performance Premium in Ultra White yesterday.
Will be saying farewell to my 2IS 350 tomorrow. That was my very first car out of college.
Always dreamed of owning a V8. Now I can finally say I have one.
Already got tint scheduled for tomorrow and PPF on the full front end next week.
Keeping a close eye on the front apron issue. Crossing my fingers I'm one of the lucky ones.
