Right, and for those 65 days I’d rather not have to deal with loss of traction. Maybe I’m more nervous than most!
That's right, but you're picking tires and getting less grippy tires for those 65 days that you are then stuck with for the remaining 300.

It's sounds like something was wrong with that AMG, or it wasn't actually a C63.

Sometimes the boosted cars have "hero runs" with launch control building boost for them. Without it their numbers aren't nearly as good. Both of those are turbo cars so if they just smashed the gas off the line they were at a disadvantage. One great thing about NA, you can smash the gas anytime and have consistency! That, and PD blower cars too 😁 Which is why I love the CT5VB so much.

Our cars are peaky as all hell. I have no doubt that a C63 has more area under the curve than we do, and makes more power and 75% of the RPM range than our cars.

I looked more into the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4, and it does look like a decent option for IS500 owners that want one year round tire or a tire that can be used into the buffer months better than the summers. It's pretty shocking how close it is to the summer 4S variant.

Thanks for posting this. Looks very interesting, and definitely a consideration for those who limit their winter driving or are in borderline winter climates.

Agreed. It’s possible the C63 wasn’t fully committed until it was too late. The ‘sleeper technique’ has caught many…m-a-n-y…folks off guard. 😈

I personally find it surprising, considering I’m driving an electric blue car with serial killer red seats! 😂 #ShouldBeTheClue

Serial killer red? That's too funny. Maybe the blueberry exterior lulls them into a false sense of security.

Infrared I guess is the more obvious "killer" color.

Maybe they thought it was a 350 and went home so ashamed they couldn't beat a V6 😂

Funny story when I had my LE last summer raced a Kia Stinger from a 40 roll & smoked it & I remember at the next light the dude was like "how did you beat me since yours is a V6"? I was like dude this is the one with the 5.0 not V6..

It looks like the Continentals perform better than the Michelins, by a pretty big margin:

Correct me if I’m wrong but they don’t sell the DWS06 in our size. The only Conti I see are the ExtremeContact Sport and Sport 02

It comes in our sizes, not sure why Tirerack doesn't show that.
