I listened to his commentary a bit after the acceleration... I actually think the RC F feeling like a "pig" is complete and utter BS. He probably read the spec sheet and saw the curb weight and had a preconceived notion of it being heavy. The cars weigh about the same these days.

 

That is a lot better to see! When the other guys did the video it must have been 110 degrees with 110% humidity too lol

My car doesn't like these hot days either. It still runs fine, but it runs A LOT better on a cool, crisp morning (like almost every other car).

I used to watch this show on the Chicago PBS station for a very long time. Since moving to Texas I haven't seen one in a long time.

 

Sofyan can be harsh on a car, but he’s not one of those spec sheet only YT’ers. His problem is he wants EVERYTHING refreshed and/or new every few years. I think that’s boneheaded and it’s how the world ended up with no physical buttons for a hot minute.

In reference to the RC, I think he’s spot on. I’ve driven the RC 350 RWD and the RC F, and neither flavor hides its weight at all. I think the IS is much faster on its feet than it. Of course the master of hiding its weight is the LC. 🥰

The only thing an RC F can do is point me to the line of IS 500s. 😜

It’s still on and still awesome! I miss Pat though, the three stand-ins are okay, but I miss my Gear Dad. 😞

I went out to grab lunch yesterday and I noticed a little lag too. Not much, but I could tell it wanted to stay parked in the garage. 😂

 

Since moving from ~600 ft elevation to 6,150 ft I have noticed an impact on acceleration. Either that or it’s all in my head and I’m just getting used to the car lol. Either way I don’t care as long as it makes glorious sounds when I hit the pedal.

 

I am definitely used to the acceleration in mine now, and I haven't moved. I think I have gotten better at anticipating the feeling of acceleration. Also, here, it's warmer and more humid now than it was when I first got mine, so the power output may be ever-so-slightly lower.

Nuh uh…nope…I’m not clicking on Sam’s sh…! He’s the male embodiment of Lucy and her football, making folks think he’s pro-Lexus. He freaking trashed the 500 because he can’t effing drive the car right.

Out of all the YT idgits, Sam makes me lose my sh… 😂

Watched it all. LOL. He is trashing the car left right and centre. But a few things that grabbed my attention 1) he claims that car doesn't make 472 HP at the crank??? It only makes 420 or so at the crank. First I've heard of this. Has anyone actually dynod the car? 2) the sounds sucks? Really? The sound is everything in this car.

Anyways, the guy seems like he has some kind of axe to grind.. He should go back to his M3 and be done with it.

 

Folks like RR Racing have dynod the RC F at nearly 400 WHP, which is most certainly more than 420, probably closer to 460-470. Not sure why the IS 500 would make less power.

 

Assuming a generous 15% power loss through the drivetrain, that's ~470 HP or so at the crank. Sam is on drugs. He's somewhere here in Ontario. I need to go find him and tell him to stop spreading fake news.

 

he said everyone send him pics of the IS350 and think it's IS500, that's a reason why he doesn't like it. what a joke this sam guy LOL... this is what you call a sleeper genius...
