Your image didn't post again man. But if your vehicle history on the headunit has 2-3 codes on 11/19 then yes that is your build date. You need to account for time zone differences though. For example; my codes say November 17, but according to Dealer Daily and my regional rep, my car was built on November 18. So my guess is that it was built November 18, but due to Japan being about 12 hours ahead of us, when the car adjusted its time for east coast time, thats why it shows November 17. Using the same mentality, your car was probably built November 20.

Who has CEL with LE # less than 50? Has anyone found a trend in LE #'s or production date?

This is a very similar question to what I asked a couple days ago and never got an answer for. Can someone please let us know that this issue is being tracked with last 5 of the VIN?

It's normally what any manufacturer will do to make sure a problem is corrected. Thank goodness for great Lexus customer service and Lexus Basic Warranty!

Yup! Those are the codes. So yes. Your car was built November 19 or November 20. My guess is November 20 when accounting for the time difference.

It is NOT specific to the Launch Editions @is500le

There is no official notice / LSB from Lexus (yet) addressing the issue publicly and/or targeting a list of VINs @drawg22

Some owners impacted are looking at their build dates to see if the cars with CEL are in the same time
period of production..

Based on the date and that Lexus hasn’t documented the full corrective action yet.

Honestly, my interpretation is that this new IS 500 in inventory tripped a CEL during demo or PDI and they followed the code to replace an O2 sensor…

This car has 12 miles a month ago and still not sold . unless there is more to the VIN history..

Welcome to the club! I warned people not to get PPF/ceramic too early, because you may have to turn the car in lol.

Anyways, you can always grab a thousand extra sodas and waters from the dealership to make up for it.

Please forgive me but have we figured out the fix? If so and/or when, can we put a sticky detailing the fix?

Short answer is no. It would likely be tracked in the dedicated IS500 CEL Problem thread.
