91 or 93/94 Octane for IS500
What are owners using in their IS500? My BMW X3M specifically indicated 93 octane was recommended but Lexus only recommends premium 91+
Any benefits to using a slightly higher octane?

Unless the Lexus is programmed to advance the timing or something with 93 octane it will provide no benefit. Even if they did it would probably give you 5 hp. I'd use what they tell you to use.

In the US, the manual says 91 is required. These engines are really not meant to run on lower-octane gas long term.
Note, I am talking AKI, not RON.
I suppose a benefit of running 93 (which I do in my IS 350 because 91 is basically impossible to find where I live) is that you make the chance of knock even smaller than it would be with 93. However, you are unlikely to "feel" any performance difference.

if the cars are tuned for 91octane, the only difference you see with higher octane is a lighter wallet.
