Followup question since I can't remember and can't find anything here. Would a replacement of the midpipe keep the stock catalytic converters? I haven't crawled under the car to see exactly where the cats are placed.

Excellent exhaust clips, thanks to everyone posting!
I have a support ticket now with Lexus USA to find out of the Lexus Performance Exhaust is coming out for the IS 500 (and a date if it is known) or if it was listed by mistake. I will update if I ever hear back from them.

If the codes come up again, next would be to buy new OEM gaskets. Then if that doesn't work, we can look into aftermarket. Let's hope we don't have to go there though!
As far as compared to stock, it's louder for sure. Inside the car it sounds real nice, not too loud (the Lexus is well insulated) and no drone at all at highway speeds. When I drive by walls or underpasses I floor it and it sounds amazing!!

I got the oval black gloss tips from GTHaus and they do look very nice. They’re also bigger than the stock tips. And you can’t really see their signature vertical bracing in the tips like the circular ones.
