What about just BT exhaust valve cut-outs ahead of the stock mufflers?

 

I’ve been searching for black tips too as vain as that is. Keep my muffler setup. Is that type of change just bolts assuming it fits the rear diffuser

There is not enough room. Even the kindigit designs, which are the narrowest, does not look like it will fit. I looked into it. Plus they would be after the compressed pipes over the differential.

 

GTHaus has black tips. Circle and oval.

 

One of the YouTube cars done by that Atlanta shop had Valvetronic cutouts on it. I emailed them to ask what they used and they never responded.

 

nothing wrong with driving a Prius. he's just that guy...every forum, team, family, etc has one.

Anyone know what voltage the valves require on the RR Racing Bazooka system?

I saw a post indicating a splice into the baby blue wire in the amp harness was necessary. Thought I remember RR racing saying it's an external hookup without splicing.

Can anyone who has the system comment? I'm going to take apart the trunk panels and probe around a bit tomorrow.

 

it is only 12 volts. There is an amplifier harness in the trunk under everttthing. It is there you splice into the light blue wire after you verify with a meter it is the hot lead. Everyone so far has been the larger light blue wire. My system is ordered. Will install when it arrives.

 

I poked around to see for myself today. Yeah it's definitely not an "external" lead on the amplifier with a screw terminal or something. It's a pinned connector. I don't know where that started.

"It's just a + and - lead and you hook it up." I guess, but it's really a wire t-tap.

For $3000 you think they would have snapped a few pictures during installs at their shop to include exactly which wire to tap. I asked them for a doc with instructions and they replied they don't have any lol. Maybe I'm just being a drama queen.

Still, I'm going to order mine tomorrow because they're the only ones to offer a non-vacuum driven valve system. Safe to assume they don't include any wire taps or anything?

 

They read the forums every once in a while, maybe they'll listen to your suggestion! A little more installation help would be nice. Even if you don't install yourself it would be good info to give to a shop doing the install so nothing gets messed up.
