If it sounds faint, that’s cause it is. Very low sound that diminishes as revs increase. Most sound actually comes below 3k or so. It really is comparable to what you get from the OEM F Sport Performance Exhaust on the IS 350. Definitely louder on cold start but that goes down once warmed up.

Start

Idle

Acceleration
That sounds pretty smooth! Did you have ASC off in the acceleration clip?

I'd love to see this combo of Apex MP and stock axel back. I'm strongly considering.

yea, when the middle shows up, I’m going to try it with the Tom’s to see if it helps at all. And if not I’ll swap back to the stock axle back

Thanks! Yes the guy at the shop said the x-pipe will sound the smoothest. That clip is with ASC on, but maybe with the windows down it didn’t come through as much.

OK I think I heard the ASC. I don't know why, but to me it is a super noticeable frequency. It gets worse at high RPM. Personally I don't think I'll ever turn mine back on.
Thanks to your new exhaust, it was not AS noticeable.

Here’s a clip w/ ASC off.

Thank you, I’m pleased with it. Just wanted a little sound and that’s it. As much as I’ve tried, it’s not been loud enough to get anyone’s attention that I could tell. It seems like it’s all for the driver Every now and then I want to put one of those RC-F axle backs on for $700, but, afraid that would be a bit loud for me and introduce drone which I have virtually none of right now with just the mid pipe.

Where could you order just the Xpipe?

You just have to contact RR Racing and ask.

Go to a reputable exhaust shop and they will make a non-resonated midpipe with x-pipe. As long as they do mandrel bending, it’s as good as some thing bought off the shelf.

Mine was $700 cash. No matter where you live, shouldn’t be more than $1000.

Here’s a cleaner pull I did on way home from work.
