Horrible timing on Tom's part to release this video right after a video on the Borla surfaces. The Borla sounds SO much better in comparison. The Tom's just seems to make the sound deeper at low RPM without changing anything else, which is highly disappointing.

but you're comparing the sound of a cat back vs an axle back system. it may be Tom's fault for not producing a full cat back, but it's not truly a fair comparison. Tom's with a mid pipe sounds pretty mean!...w/ the RCF/GSF axle back any way.

Just received my RR Racing Bazooka catback today. Very well made and well packaged. I have a question for those that have the Bazooka. It only has for bolts. Am I to assume I need to use the stock bolts from the manifold to mount up the front of the mid pipe? The four bolts included are clearly for the axleback portion. Thank you in advance

Installed resonated apexi midpipe a few weeks ago. Liking it but decided to try out adding a valved axleback (“RR racing” vs “Gthaus”). Ultimately went with Gthaus as I couldn’t get in touch (IG message and then called, left a voicemail) with RR racing to answer some questions. Can’t wait for it to show up! Kudos to Gthaus for answering the phone lol

Anyway, sounds like it was just a bad day on pack-out or something. I'm still happy with the purchase, sounds mean and the electric valve is a plus for quieter cold starts. You can also program the included valve remote key fob to your HomeLink mirror buttons and ditch the fob. Shop said the pipes went together well, minus the missing/wrong size clamps. I did all the wiring for the valves beforehand thanks to the other posters earlier in the thread (06BlackTaco on YT), no issues. The insulation on the baby blue amp wire is pretty stout. I didn't want to solder the wire, so I cut into the insulation a little bit before clamping a t-tap onto it. Worked out pretty well.
Here's the video from 06BlackTaco - I think he posted earlier in the thread. He goes over the install, two parts -
