You won't have issues with warranty for having an exhaust unless your dealership is that terrible. IF your engine blows up and they can try to blame it on the exhaust but if your radio doesn't work then not really.

Yes the midpipes delete secondary cats so depends on your state, but no CEL is caused and the primary cats are still there so should be okay.

As for GTHAUS sales, if you're looking to save, they usually do Black Friday deals so I would wait until then, but we can do special promo during that time.

Removing the secondary cats will fail inspection in CA guaranteed, unless it's a shop that doesn't give a F about it.

Even some mufflers will get you a ticket in CA for being too noisy.

This is the land of suck.... but not the fun kind.

depends on the car. I take my cars to this shop that is super picky and petty about this kind of stuff, additionally they follow everything to the letter of the law. With that being said, i took my RCF to them with a Invidia Q300 cat back and i expected him to turn it away and i would have to return with my stock exhaust. After looking it up in the computer and also referring to a manual, he said it was good. I asked him specifically "What about the secondary cats" he said the manual only said for this model and my year the only required thing was the primary cats and made no mention of the secondary cats. I have since gone to the shop that's next door to them that doesn't ask any questions and pass everything.

I'm in SoCal.

additionally, I bought the Q300 off of eBay. I looked at other exhausts that weren't Invidia and the listing always said cannot purchase or ship if you reside in California. I looked at the Q300 listing and none of the sellers had this notation to not sell or ship to california. That has been a few years, I just looked up the only Q300 i could find on ebay for an RCF and it says not for use on licensed vehicle in the state of california.

That is the first I've heard of that. The law (or one law, since there are many) says any modifications to the emissions systems needs a CARB sticker and removing secondary cats is a modification for sure. I wouldn't be willing to risk it to see what the tech does, but that's just me.

We don't have to smog for 7-8 years I think so I wouldn't be surprised, since that will be 2030+, if we fail smog they make us buy EV by then.

There are several California Vehicle Codes that limit any changes to the exhaust system.

mufflers that have valves are illegal.
mufflers that increase the noise are illegal.
exhaust systems in general that are above a certain dB are illegal.
any exhaust system that removes or modifies the emissions devices are illegal.
any thing that alters or replaces anything in engine compartment (oil air separators if they are open/vented into the atmosphere) are illegal.

If anything is aftermarket, it HAS to have state certifications and it’ll be stamped/stickered on the device.

that being said, most city cops won’t know all the vehicle codes or even care. But, CHP or bigger city cops that deal with street racers will have the training to know about all that stuff AND they’ll state ref you which sucks major donkey ****.

I'm waiting on Borla to release their system. All the other ones are overpriced and do not look good in my opinion.

Just received this today after a 9 wk wait time. Workmanship is very good. Excited to hear the V8 wail with this midpipe with the X-crossover design.

They do, if you ask them. ~$1200 shipped, in my case.

Thanks, will have to contact them. Have been looking for a X Pipe instead of H.
