I'm about 300 miles into my Borla and it has indeed settled down a bit. Not quite as loud, boomy, and raspy as it was when new, so I'm happy with that.
My former Borlas were fully broken in around 600-700 miles, so I'm betting it'll continue to mellow out which is exactly what I wanted.
Cold start is still so loud, but it now settles down after 5-10 seconds. It's also noticeably less savage when driving thankfully.
(Reminder - I also have the Apexi resonated midpipe).

Hey that's me! Turns out I am also waiting like the rest of you. ARK took my exhaust off to fix last year so I've been without it for the longest time. I was getting an exhaust leak near the downpipe so they needed to fine tune the fitment. Last I heard, they resolved this by doing a 3D scan of the bottom of the car, which I think is pretty cool. They seem to be perfectionists at ARK and I'm sure it's going to be great in the end.

I've tried multiple setups now...
IS500 specific Toms Axleback (Drones like crazy)
IS500 specific Toms Axleback w/ Apexi Resonated Midpipe (Sounds great, but drones even worse)
Apexi Resonated Midpipe only (super quiet, can barely tell you changed anything)
PPE/RR Racing Midpipe only (a bit louder than the apexi, no drone)
PPE/RR Racing Midpipe w/ Borla Axleback (Super loud, a bit of drone, but tolerable)
RCF specific Toms Axleback w/ Apexi Resonated Midpipe (Perfect setup for me, no drone, quieter on freeway than the PPE/RR midpipe only, but can hear more exhaust note on acceleration and cold start isn't horrible)
Took a bit to get to the setup i'm keeping and extremely happy with. need to grab some videos
