Exactly! Love the sound and love the look of them on the car.
No I’m curious to hear what the Invidia sounds like.

I had mine up only on rear ramps and it was a very tight fit to get to much past the diff. If I was doing the mid-pipe I’d definitely be raising it on all four jack points or raising the heck out of the rear - which isn’t the safest.
I honestly would have just raised it on four jack stands to give myself all the space I need, but I still haven’t figured out the designated center front & rear jacking points I’m used to on BMWs.

edit - if memory serves think I also rolled the front wheels on some spare 2x8 blocks of wood.

Otherwise, I have heard that midpipe doesn't fit other mufflers due the piping diameter.

Where did you get a invidia midpipe made for the is500? You sure it is an invidia? All of us had to buy the RCF mid pipe and retrofit it for the 500 since they didn't make one for our cars. I emailed invidia for months asking if they were going to make something for the 500 and ended up just doing the RCF retrofit.

Just an FYI, finally had time for a proper long drive with the Borlas on the car and just want to call out that they’re not fully drone-free as claimed by Borla. I’ll preface that drone is highly subjective, so take my feedback as you please, but there is a noticeable “humming” between 1.5 - 2.5K RPM. It’s not overly loud, but it’s noticeable. To be fair to Borla, I’ve owned Remus, Eisenmann, Dinan, AWE, and Akrapovic (on my BMWs) and they all have similar mild “humming” in the same RPM range. I guess it’s just the price for getting aftermarket exhaust.
And yes, I do still have the stock mid-pipe on the car.

Now you got me wondering if adding the Borla mid-pipe would actually eliminate it all together because of the x-pipe. At least, x-pipes worked to do just that on my last BMW with an aftermarket exhaust. I guess I'll bite the bullet in the coming weeks and get the mid-pipe a well.
