low key, i'm just trying to justify a $1200+ part for just some noise. if there's any performance benefit, then i probably wouldn't hesitate.

I doubt you would gain any measurable tq from more back pressure. You'll probably gain a bit of power from increased exhaust flow though.

I did spend that much for just a visual mod and was worth it - If you can afford it, life is short so do what makes you happy

why do 99% of people change exhaust systems?

……..for the noise.

Don't forget that people will also pay ~2500-3000 for a tint, clear bra and ceramic coat (myself included) and that's also just for aesthetics. So paying 2k for an exhaust system which can improve daily enjoyment of the car is definitely worth it IMO. Now I do go back and forth with thinking about exhausts. I'll probably end up keeping it stock in the end, because it suits my purposes just fine as it is, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tempted.

actually tint, clear bra (full PPE) and ceramic coating is not just for aesthetics. They all are functional and serve a purpose….and I have all that done too!

Along the same lines as several other questions...does anyone know if the rr racing exhausts are electronically actuated instead of vacuum? I really want to be able to cold start with the valves closed.

It says electronic valves on their site but the vacuum actuated valves still use an electronically controlled solenoid.

Not my video or car. In comments someone mentions it’s running a Meisterschaft catback.

I can't stand the Meistershaft exhaust. $6000 to sound like an a-hole? No thanks.

They are full electronic. You will have a key fob up front that opens and closes them electronically. You can power the ignition and shut them before starting the car or the other way around.

Thanks Justin! Armchair engineer here, but do you know of any long term issues from excess back pressure or something by keeping the valves closed during cold starts? I would think valves "closed" would be similar to stock in terms of flow/pressure.

Also, will you sell just the axle back parts without midpipe?

Edit - I just realized the axle back only configs on the other Lexus v8s fit borla midpipes
