Default Welcome to the new IS 500 subforum!

As I'm sure folks are figuring out, you are in a new sub-forum dedicated to the Lexus IS 500 model. We added this section after observing how active the IS 500 owners are, and also soliciting extensive feedback from both the moderator team and a group of IS 500 owners. I'd like to make sure to point out a few things:

1) We're in the process of moving IS 500-related topics that already exist in the 3IS forum here and should be done within a couple of hours. If we miss one, please PM me or push the 'report a post' button on the thread and we'll get it to the right spot.

2) There are a TON of topics in the main 3IS forum that still apply to the IS 500. I'd ask you to make sure to both post and look there first when you're trying to find and answer to something that is common between models. You'll get faster answers and a lot more eyeballs and brains on your post in the main forum, and often can find the answer searching existing 3IS posts or the FAQ. If there is a topic posted here in the IS 500 forum that might get better answered in the main 3IS forum, the moderators may move it there. We're relying on you to not just stick to this section!

3) Soon we will need to close the 'The V8 is back: IS 500 F SPORT Performance' mega-thread. With over 7,000 posts it can't be effectively searched to find discrete answers to questions. Moving posts from it into their own threads cause database errors, lol.

4) We'll soon be soliciting input for threads to link in the FAQ and DIY sticky, both in the main 3IS forum and a new FAQ specific to the IS 500.

You can see the location of the sub-forum here, or bookmark for your convenience.

Thank you for this sub forum!
I'm most eager to hear the experience of members with the new exhaust components. I see there are already a few making their way to market. I'm hoping for something just a tad more throaty and present but nothing too offensive that make the wife give me looks.

My 392 Wrangler had the best factory exhaust I've ever heard. If you can, it's worth the time to hear a cold start in person.

Agreed. No sound clip can do the real sound quality/detail justice. Opinions do help though!
