^^ I tend to agree, I find the BMW and Mercedes styling have become "meh" to me....Obviously being a Lexus owner, I love their styling otherwise I wouldn't own one but I am not afraid to say when other brands look good. For example, if I was in the market for a German luxury brand, Audi would be one I would consider based on styling. I just find the styling of the IS just so stunning and sexy! I have watched a video where they compare the 3 series and the IS and the drive-by shots were so night-and-day different!! Now I will admit that BMW is more technologically advanced and if that is important to someone, the BWM will win hands down, but for me, looks and reliability/dependability are very important factors and this is where Lexus won my heart

I can say it's been night and day between this and my prior cloudburst grey 350 in terms of the attention and compliments. Half of whom have no idea what kind of car this is, much less trying to explain to them the 500 vs. 350/300 thing . Everyone from a kid on the street (who's backpack was larger than him) hollering at me that he really likes my car to a lady (who I swear was 80+) saying to her friends at a street corner bench what a nice colour that car that just went by had. But this IS500 is such a well sculpted beast that it looks incredible in any colour. Even brown would work on the IS500.
My ‘06 IS 350 in Smoky Granite Mica didn’t get any attention until I bought chrome IS wheels and exhaust tips from Sewell Lexus. I thought it was bada$$ and others seemed to think the same. My 2016 IS 350 FSport in blue/red was an out of the box attention grabber. With the 2021 refresh and the 2022 IS 500 tweaks, I knew the spec from my 2016 had to be continued. The overall response to the refresh is pretty fantastic (described as the best looking sedan in the market right now is a BFD!), but the catcalls from the street corner towards Blu are the icing on the cake. 😈😂

Admittedly this is why I was adamant about my color spec. (…and suffered many sleepless nights in 2021!) 😂

i've never had a supercar or flashy sports car, and for some reason I didn't consider the IS500 to be one, but i have gotten 5 compliments from random people in the last 2 weeks of ownership. car dealer salesman (helping a friend car shopping), fast food drive through attendants, and in downtown san francisco by two others driving along side me in traffic.
I've had a few random compliments, one from a '14-15 IS 350 owner who loved the color. I'm used to it with the Supra, I get random comments all the time.

I was at the park the other day, and I noticed several people's heads swiveling as the walked by it. It was kinda funny to watch, in a good way.

For sure, seeing them side by side like this the bimmer has a more luxury look whereas the IS has a more blend of sport and lux. The bimmer blends in the traffic. 99% couldn't tell it apart from a regular 3 series. Both great cars . Can't go wrong with either. Personal choice. Bimmer outperforms the 500 in most categories, but definitely is not a looker like the IS.

I admittedly parked next to a IS250 non fsport, for fun and it also had shade, and the driver came back (Strong 8 in LA) and liked the Color of the LE and how mean it looked compared to hers. We chatted and she sat in the Driver's Seat and revved it... all while her Boyfriend was busy holding the door open for her to get in the IS250 LMAO

A quick little therapy drive was taken today. She's dirty but still pretty.
