I am in the burbs of Austin and tend to have short trips under 10 miles. If I go to my parent place whatever mileage I have creeps up. The highway has been fantastic.
If I am in the Chicago north/northwest area in September like I am planning I am curious what the mileage will be.

There have been times I've filled up the tank, hopped on the highway, and then averaged like 23-24 MPG on the way home. It can be efficient if driven calmly without too many stops.

I am also in the burbs of Atlanta. Since I work from home, I can also avoid traffic for the most part. Inevitably I do hit some here and there.

Went up to the mountains today with a friend. Was a pretty chill time.

I live with the suburbs but I'm pretty close to several cities and mountain passes. Currently my average is at 17-18 mpg. I dont drive this car to work as much cause the parking sucks. My 500 tends to be my recreational car for now.

^^ If the CT5-V Blackwing was priced more reasonably in the range of a brand new Hellcat Charger. I would have immediately jumped on that instead.

I'm in the suburbs of a small city. My "city" driving is stop and go due to traffic lights, but it's not like big city congestion where you crawl for minutes on end. And the highway portion of my commute is only 60-70 mph (right through the heart of the city, with photo-enforced speed limits). So my commute is conducive overall to good gas mileage, versus someone whose city driving is a parking lot hellscape and whose highway driving is 80+ mph.

My city driving is kind of like yours. I drive about 3.5 miles to work and if I catch every light I would have to stop 16 times at lights or stop signs. So my commute is horrible for mileage... the big highway I'm rarely on is 70 mph, and the little highway is 55-60 mph. The little highway I drive more often and it has stops every couple miles, again bad for mileage.
