That thing is a beauty! Ive never been a fan of owning a red car until recently and this infrared color was the first to change my mind.
I've seen you're a BMW guy also, but I guess the IS500 won out on this battle.

Thanks! Yeah I did think about the M340i for a while, but honestly, after talking with my wife about it, decided to go Lexus. She knows me better than myself sometimes. I had been talking about the IS 500 since it came out, not so much the Bimmer.
Red is unusual for me. I had one other red car - a 2020 VW Jetta GLI in Tornado Red, which was more of a solid red instead of a metallic red like Infrared. It was bright. I never really got used to seeing it in the garage.
My 2016 IS 300 AWD was Atomic Silver as well, a color which I fell in love with over time. I wanted Nebula Gray originally, but I waffled on my decision to buy it. The gray car sold, and a nearly-identical Atomic Silver one was left, and I started to really like it after seeing it in person. Gorgeous color in its own right.

Imo If you’re a Lexus fan , most likely you’ve been looking forward to this for years. Ever since Lexus dropped the 14 IS in the new body, I wanted that V8 in it. A couple tenths of a second and some extra tech I’ll never use wouldn’t change that. I think you made the right choice. I can look at a M340i and be happy with my vehicle but if I owned the 340 and saw an IS500, I’d be sweating lol.
Ive always loved atomic silver since it came out and said it would be my next color. Can’t go wrong with it imo. Now I can say this for infrared next 😂
Are these G35 19 inch wheels? Curious what tire size you're running. Looks great for a winter set.
Yes they are, 4 rears 8.5 wide with +35offset. These 245/45s are alittle too tall. I was running that size on my LS430 and the rears rubbed. I havnt tried to run these on the IS yet looks like the rear will contact under compression and the fonts just barely rub the liners at full lock.
