Hey you let me know and I'll put on my fancy suit, I'll get a microphone and speakers, and we'll have a bidding war with yours truly as the auctioneer.

Hi, looks like the USA 2023 interior trim?

no

^^ Yeah, it appears that the Canadian models of the IS 500 (except the Launch Edition) had this trim in 2022 and eventually, the US market will now get it. I think it looks great, especially on the red interior but I am biased

Yeah the silver satin adds a little more contrast than the black geometric thingy we USAns got in 2022. It’s nice.

I like it. Looks sort of like brushed aluminum.

I just wish the black buttons like the window buttons didn't scratch so easily.

So I just wanted to update my thread here because my 2022 may get replaced by my original plan of a white on white now that the dealer has apparently the ability to get me one. Once I have firmed up the pricing, it will be the decision factor on a go or no go so more to come. I am also excited to be building my "detailing garage" this spring which be fun for keeping all my cars in mint conditions despite the season. I am also going to be sprucing up my attached garage with wall covering and repainting and maybe some floor covering as well. I have ordered a custom made Lexus F sport banner which should be here next week and will also be adding this to the wall decor. Note that the wood background is just the table it is sitting on but will be fixed to a freshly painted white plaster wall which I think will look sharp (close to about 42" in width). When I receive the banner, I will share a pic of that too...

Getting excited for spring 2023

Our cars are almost twins other than the interior.

^^ Well, up until this one, I was always leasing my cars and always walked away (even after 10 months) with no negative equity - I would just turn my lease over and jump into a new one. In this case, where I purchased the IS 500, I know I am not going to get the exact same amount I paid for in 2022, but I am just waiting to hear from the dealer how much I will have to pay to get into the new one. That will be the determining factor, I have a number in my pocket that is the red line...if it is less than that, the deal will go through, if not, I'll keep my 2022 In the end, I still LOVE my 2022, it is pretty much all I wanted minus the interior color although I am now very fond of it, but the idea of being able to get what I originally wanted is what makes me itchy

I feel ya, I had a desired spec in mind and once I got it I thought the 2500 fee + shipping is nbd to get my dream spec. I think the hardest part of switching tho is the constant 621 miles break in. It was such a tease keeping speed and rpm’s low for the break in, I just wanted to gas it!
