In a somewhat related way, another set of Toronto, Canada based YouTubers will be reviewing the IS500 soon - StraightPipes. Their archrivals, ThrottleHouse, already reviewed it a short time ago and put out a pretty decent video.

Even though I own it already I'm excited for the review. Straight pipes are great hype men and are very entertaining. I tend to believe that throttle house and savage geese are a bit more informational though.

You’re right. SG and TH are two of my favorites.

Yep and I can’t wait to see what Jakob says, because he LOVED his IS F.

To date, I think TH’s review of the IS 500 is the best one online, with LexusEnthusiast a very close second. They truly understand the mission of the car and were emotionally dialed into its soul.

I like TH review the best as well - it heavily influenced my decision to go for the IS500 Launch Edition. I wasn't so keen on paying the $95K CAD that the dealership was selling that particular used car (I believe it's still for sale lol).
I can't say I'm too fond of SP antics and their shtick about sun visors is annoying. But they review quite a wide spectrum of cars and have a different approach than TH. I find it funny how both TH and SP are all from Toronto, Canada and in a feud. Life of social media influencers I guess.

I’m also hoping savagegeese does a 2nd review with the IS500 with a production model on their normal road test. Since mark has a LC500 and he’s not a Lexus hater I think chances are decent.

I have to admit, I hated their first bite at the IS 500 Review Apple. It was kinda stupid with the sideways driving and faux a-hole executive schtick. Just do the business and it’ll be awesome. It’s a winning strategy… Side note, their review of the 2015 IS 350 is what put them on the map for me. They just let me down with the first IS 500 review.

^^ That is another argument for why I keep saying that I take these reviews with a grain of salt. I mean 99% of us IS 500 owners simply love our product because we were educated and aware on what we were buying, did our own research and stuff. Let's be honest, most of these people don't do these videos and car reviews to help people make sure they get the best car for them, they car about "subscribers" because that is how they generate revenues, so for them, the hype and such is mostly what sells. I am not saying that none of their information is not relevant and I often will pay attention to the things they say so I can "watch for those" when I car shop but I will never say "Oh Savagegeese didn't like this car so therefore, I will not buy it" and stop there. I love watching the vides of the little visual goodies, when I was lusting for a 500, any chance I could see clips of the car, I would just go and watch it.

Now full disclosure, I think SG does amazing videos in general and there a few others I enjoy, and I know I might get flamed for this but I like Matt Maran a lot for some reason....He just seems genuine and a real car enthusiast, but that is my opinion

Agreed, you have to take the reviewers with a grain of salt. Matt is okay, but I need just a little more effort put into the production. 😜

^^ I agree that he isn't the most fancy reviewer but I find the fancier they get, the more money they need and then it becomes more about the revenues than the content....

I agree 100%. It’s one of the reasons I detest Doug, other than the fact that he’s a super d**k to Lexus cars.
