Here's another Einstein that decided to PPF and ceramic coat his entire car and then sell it:

Is there a correlation between impulse buyers and PPF/ceramic?

I'm mildly annoyed at how dark the tint is as well. That's asking to get pulled over.

I also contest to his declaration that his IS 500 is the “cleanest in the country!”

He's also listing it on the Marketplace here for $90k. You get a discount if you go through cars.com

I have no problem with people flipping cars. It's their risk and their profit to gain. I respect the hustle. I just don't understand why people get PPF for a flip. You never ever get your full investment back. It's not like remodeling a house before you sell it.

In this market, you likely will get your investment back.

I both respect and hate flipping in this market. Yeah, if people can make money, go for it; I'd likely do the same. But for the enthusiasts who want these limited cars (Mavericks, Broncos, various Launch Editions of cars, etc.) and miss out because someone just wants to make money, it kills part of the culture for me. I have seen countless Broncos for sale with negligible miles on it with the owner going "Drove it 3 miles home and decided it wasn't for me!", when we all know if they truly know they didn't want the vehicle, they wouldn't go through the trouble of paying the taxes, getting it registered, taking out a loan, etc. and just decline the delivery.

TL;DR I just want to buy my car and bourbon at a reasonable price

one issue with flipping is, it gives dealers even more ammunition to charge adm. they want to get theirs bc they know limited vehicles like these are ripe for a flip.

I told myself if I ever want to get rid of my IS500 it will be for a G80 M3 Competition. In the mean time I am enjoying mine every bit of it. Coming from a STI to a IS500 was a big jump for me.

I think it would be a CT5VB for me. But I don't want 12 mpg city 21 mpg highway right now with gas over $6 a gallon for me. I also like my Lexus long term reliability. All things that made me purchase this car instead of the 5VB!

An M5 would be pretty sweet too lol. I also like the M550 a lot.

I love the M and M550 but have zero interest in paying for extended warranty or potential large maintenance costs that many have experienced after 3-5 years. A CT5VB or even a 2016+ CTSV are now strong contenders but still need to research possible long term costs/reliability.

C'mon 2023 IS500 production news - really not much to worry about there

No joke! Then he’ll complain about unfairness and ‘Dbag Cops’ as a result.

Say it louder for the folks in the back! There are several of us here who can easily hold that title… When multiple people say: “Does your car ever get dirty?!”

…you’re in the running. 😜😉

I totally agree! The cost of full PPF is not worth it (break even at most) if its for a quick flip. I am doing a full stealth ppf on mine right now and planning on keeping my forever .

I think what might have happened to the seller is that they wanted to keep the car forever, so they sent the car off to PPF right away. The problem is that they might not get a chance to fully experience the car until the PPF is done, and that experience might not be what they expected, hence the sale?

What color is your car? I'm always curious how the matte stealth turns out depending on the color. I've already seen an Incognito + xpel stealth and I think it darkened it a lot.
