Does anyone know if there's a lock button on the 2021/22 IS trunk on the outside of the trunk (typically located somewhere adjacent to the underside button that opens the trunk) that would lock the trunk & doors? Toyota/Lexus hatchbacks have this button. I would like to lock the car/trunk from the outside without having to dig for my keys or walk back to the front of the car and press the door handle.
I scoured the IS500 manual pages 94+ and there's no mention of this button anywhere, so @TipsyTonio can't rag on me for not reading the manual.
See attachment of CT200h which has a lock button on the "back door:"

Such a button does not exist on the 3IS. However, if you lock the doors, you can still open the trunk if you have the key on your person. Just use the button above the license plate. It only functions if the key is nearby. Opening the trunk this way does not unlock the doors.
This is genius. It's even easier than having to press a button to re-lock it.

Found this listing this weekend (screenshotting just in case the listing gets removed). Interesting how IS 500's and LC 500's are in the same ball park now!

I don't know if I'd go for this specific one, seeing as how it's had 2 owners already, but several exist in the general price range in the area... If you could have a gently-used LC for the same price as your IS 500, would you?

But I also paid $61k + TTL for my IS500 and I don't see any 2019 LC500s go for $61k.

Yeah but that doesn't mean I'm getting $70k+ for mine from the buyer/dealer. I would need an even trade, maybe I'll toss in a couple thousand bucks extra if needed. I just don't see that happening though on a 2019.

arentz07 - To answer your question, nope. While I love the design of the LC 500 and such, I am not a coupe guy and even less of a convertible. I had an RC for a couple of years and was so happy to get back in a sedan, that is really where I feel more at home. Again, I know the LC is far sleeker looking than the IS, but in this case, practically wins over design for me.

Haha true, I kinda anticipated the responses I got. Sedan buyers are not personal-luxury-coupe buyers. Though, for someone like myself who works from home and doesn't necessarily need four doors, I've definitely thought about jumping to a two-door. Though, emergency back seats would be nice.

^^ well my car only sees one occupant and that is me, even the mrs will not ride in it, she is horrified and traumatized by the sanitazation and sterilization process before entering the vehicle. And you can be assured that the back seats would "not be used" either, oh the horror!!
I just like the openess of a sedan although a convertible would be quite open, but with shaved head, that spells glare for oncoming traffic and potential lawsuit! Lol
