A couple of things:
- It was sold by Lexus of Mobile so it is not the car I thought @DLPTony . That also means there is yet another Superman Spec out there.
- It is veryyyyyyyy low mileage. Smells like flipper in here.
- It was registered as a commercial vehicle? Sleezy dealer trying to flip the car, or some elaborate tax evasion scheme?

When I mention to the sales rep that it was already sold (via the CL site), he was like…nope still here.
The IG posts out of Japan today have honestly tickled me. I’ve seen more brochures than I care to count and now the lottery paperwork is posted. 😂
Instead of a Launch Edition for their first 500 units, they’re calling them First Edition. I’m so glad this is happening, because the parts market will be stocked.
1. It can be had in any color so the exterior is not really special other than BBS wheels.
2. Interior difference is just suede and a brown/black wood pattern. My parent's kitchen cabinets had a similar pattern. That house was built in the 1950s.
2. In 2022 every car is a limited edition.
If this is worth the extra 500,000 yen ($3600 USD) then go for it. But IMO it's even worse than the US Launch Edition.

So 2023 Is the last year of the IS500 & assuming we get them in the USA shouldn't Lexus create the "Final Edition" & 2022 was the 1st year of the IS500 & having a "Launch Edition" makes sense.

To that point, is every Premium Edition more rare than a Launch Edition from an exterior and interior color perspective? Given there are 500 Launch Editions in Incognito with Black and Gray interior, there are likely fewer numbers of each exterior and interior color combination in the Premium Editions that were made available before MY22 production ended.

i guess my push back on this is. There are only 500 that have a serial #. There are only 500 that have alcantara suede, there are only 500 that when you turn the ignition on says launch edition. But the point is well made that currently unless your new vehicle is stellantis, it’s limited.
