11362725[/url]]According to an interview I read from somewhere previously, Lexus management said the the last model year of the current IS (including the IS500) will be 2024.
I could be wrong, but I’ve read somewhere that Lexus has a 4 year lifecycle planned for the IS500. Idk if the same thing goes for the entire 3IS in general, but that would put the last IS500 to roll off the factory line some time for the 2026MY. Idk how often Lexus starts a new generation, but I think to kill it off in ‘24 would be too soon. Acura, for example, refreshes with a facelift every 3 years, with a brand new generation every 6. Then again, given the current situation of cars and car parts, they could go back on their word even if it would be unusual and probably unlikely for an auto manufacturer to create hype only to back out. So who really knows.
Yeah, that interview could have been interpreted a couple of ways. 4 year lifespan for this iteration of the IS meaning 2021 MY through 2024 MY. So that would include the 300,350 and 500 even thought the 500 didn't start production until 2022 MY. Others interpreted it as the IS 500 would have 4 years so 2022-2025 MY. And even with that times can change, and Lexus may change their mind with the market and say nahhhh, lets end it at 2023.

That’s why i’m scared debating if i should go for 2023 or wait for other years because they always add improvements each year, may not be big but little improvements lol
They didn't add any improvements from 2022 to 2023. It's just cosmetic stuff. I wouldn't wait if I was you.
Agreed, not to mention if there is truly an upgrade you want it seems some dealers may be willing to trade in. So if you get one asap you reduce the risk of not getting one at all.

Ill be a bit jealous if they’re graphite colored but not if they’re full on black.
Agreed. I'm definitely going to try keeping my '22 silver wheels when my ‘23 arrives, but if that's a no-go then plan is to paint the wheels the Porsche satin aurum shade of gold (since replacement will be caviar) and if that doesn't look good will paint them yet again back to the '22 silver. Never been a fan of black wheels on anything other than 4x4s, but will say the USB with them does look good (like a member on here has already done).
has anyone leased an IS500 and mind pm me how much you pay?
I don’t think anyone has their IS500 leased. When I got mine back in March, the GM mentioned they couldn’t calculate the residual value and for that reason, Lexus was unable to offer lease options.

Leases were available when i picked mine up but residuals were very low and made lease not logical. I am surprised the residual was low tbh but i ended up just buying it outright and repay myself monthly to avoid the 5% interest rates
