^ Yup. That's why I want a dashcam. Didn't help that I binged quite a few videos on a YouTube channel called "Mega Driving School" and now I'm a little paranoid. But I haven't decided which dashcam to go with yet.

Out of all the dash cams I've owned I love the Garmin 55 (had it for 2 years now). I love the wifi feature that allows you to DL videos right to your phone without having to mess with micro SD cards.

Viofo A129 or Blackvue DR line are the most recommended I have seen, and the ones I plan on getting once I get the car.

The Thinkware is also supposed to be pretty good, also for the Blackvue to get some of the services there is a monthly fee right?

Agreed on the Thinkware. Not sure about the Blackvue. I currently run a Vantrue that I have no complaints about and has a solid picture for its age (4 years old). But, next car will have a dual, hardwired setup of the previously mentioned brands.

I've been looking at 2 channel cameras because I want front and rear views. Mainly looking at Blackvue and Thinkware because of wifi connectivity and being able to access the videos via my phone. Not too sure about Blackvue's pay-extra features though.

The Viofo A129 seems to have really good reviews. Have to look into that one a bit more as it appears to have a mobile app as well.

I’m guessing the owner has a million things to take care of rather than be here, but I’m curious to know what happened. I have my guesses who it was given Tonio broke the news but I hope I’m wrong.

@DLPTony I was so worried this was you, man. Hope whomever it is, has a speedy recovery. Lord knows, I know how scary this can be. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

Thankfully….no it wasn’t me. A IS500 dude I follow on IG was hit last week too. I really hope that’s the end of this type of news. 😞

I'm surprised as well but unfortunately I don't think it's my place to reveal that. The owner is in an Elantra rental car so he is indeed not a happy camper

As an owner of an Elantra as one of my daily driver, I have to admit that it ain't bad of a car and gets great fuel mileage but I agree that you can't compare the induction noise of a V8 to that of an Atkinson cycle 4 cylinder with an iCVT (lol)

I also sent a message last week to Hennessy Lexus Atlanta asking their take on the production news but haven't received a reply. (funny, they responded within the hour when pursuing my Amex deposit)

It appears that Toyota it is suspending 25% of its production lines through June to prevent the disruptive starting/stopping of those lines. I also heard they are contemplating discontinuing some 2022 models completely (especially certain Lexus models) to accumulate chips and reintroducing them later in the summer/fall as 2023 models. Unfortunately rumor is that my 2022 IS 500 (ordered last August) may be one of those discontinued 2022 models to resurface as a 2023 model. Additionally, they indicated that the war in Ukraine may cause further production cuts as it was not yet factored into their current shutdown plans. Interesting, I noticed that many newer cars making it out of the factory are white leading me to think that this may in part be because of the increased cost and short supply of some pigments.

I received a text reply from sales at Hennessy Lexus Atlanta stating that the inventory manager (Daniel Yim) has assured that 2022 model year IS 500 cars are still being built - so many conflicting stories
