SWIFT Springs looking for car or stock springs to borrow!
Hi! Swift Springs is looking for either an IS 500 or stock springs off an IS 500 for R&D.
Orange/San Bernardino County for a car, or stock springs can be sent to them as well. They won’t need to keep them.
I am not affiliated with them, but have been harassing them to get springs developed for this car since I prefer their raked drops over a saggy back. I am hoping someone closer to them can help us all out! I daily my car, so I don’t have an option to mail them my springs unfortunately.
Quick update - swapped on my VMR V710FF wheels 10mm front / 15mm rear more offset than OEM and Michelin AS4 (10mm wider) tires. Absolutely love the look.
A few hundred miles driven and a full day of autocross and sliding (my oem rear tires that were new are out of tread and chunked now), the springs are good match for the car.
Great news. I loved their springs on my g37 sedan. The ride quality remained close to stock with respect to harshness.
I’ve had them on my Q60, and the husband has them on his Type-R. The ride quality really cannot be beat for an aftermarket spring and I’ve been on many different ones!
I really hope someone steps up and helps out for the greater good 🥺

I am extremely tempted but I swore to myself I wouldn’t lower this car. I’m scared of scraping this beautiful car.

Same here as they would likely be my top choice. Although it was quite some time ago, I remember nothing but good things after I installed them. Hopefully a volunteer emerges soon.
Kind of off topic, but has anyone ever asked a dealer to install aftermarket springs (not coilovers) and still have the full warranty intact? Seeing as Swift springs are a pretty conservative drop and if I had to bet, the spring rate probably isn't too much more stiff than stock. I recall someone back in the day in the 2IS forums saying their lexus dealer still honored the warranty if they did the install (maybe I am mistaken).

that would depend on the dealership but as far as warranty- installing springs will not void your warranty on an unrelated part like an engine or a headlight for example. They’d need to prove it’s related to the modified part to deny coverage.
i think they’ll cover shipping both ways; you’ll have to email them to see if there’s anything else they can offer. Marketing @ swiftsprings
I always thought that you would just drop your car off with them for R&D and pick it up a week later. Then go back after the prototype is manufactured, let them install it, and voila you've lowered your car for free.
You sending them things, them sending you things, sounds a lot more complicated and less cool. In fairness to them I haven't asked them how it works yet lol.
