I started an open line of communication with Lexus is August of 2021 about the IS500! It was more or less the same for me, “it’s going to take some time, we can’t find one.” And that eventually turned into not sure if we’ll be able to get you one at all due to all of the aforementioned issues.I continued to wait and I’m FINALLY happy to say that as of yesterday I’m the proud owner of a 2023 IS500. So indeed, stay strong! I was told, and I’m not sure how true this is, that Lexus dealerships would only be allocated so many of the 2023’s. Again, might have been a stretch of the truth to get me to settle on the color being had already passed on one earlier in the year. Anyway just an FYI.

From our calculations, they built around a thousand 2022, my guess is 2023 will be about the same, and they are probably randomly allocating them to dealers once again

To add to this. My dealer told me in October each dealer is getting one until all dealers have been accommodated. Then and only then will allocations open up more. October came and went and they were bypassed. In November, November 2, they were surprised to see they had one. They felt very confident they would not see another for awhile. They certainly expect more, just not anytime soon. I went ahead and pounced. Waiting for it to arrive.

Good news I just got a call from my sales consultant that my 500 is coming by the end of this month. I’m glad to hear this and it is much better than waiting till march ‘23 which I thought would be the case.
I ordered an USB 2.0/Circuit Red base model. No markups!
Im based in Oahu my dealer is owned by Servco which is the 15th largest dealer in the nation.

@TipsyTonio Sorry, I just realized I shared zero details about the car… I think it’s due to the fact I still can’t believe I actually have it.. FINALLY. I posted this video in the picture thread and I’ve since had it tinted, I’ll share more pics in the very near future. I’ve got to get past being mesmerized every time I walk into the garage first lol.

@DLPTony I’m not even sure the word “Love” does how I feel justice. I waited sooo long… missed out on the launch edition… turned one down because it didn’t have red interior… it’s been a long road lol, so worth it though.

@MYIS500 My dealer told me the exact same thing…exactly why I settled for atomic silver…. But honestly… I’m starting to think it should have been my color of choice anyway lol glad to know my dealer wasn’t exaggerating the truth.

how do you guys feel about the special edition ‘23 molten lava pearl IS500 coming out? Only 150 production run.
Also how are you able to get the black bbs rims on the website it says they are available? But there are no packages u can get with the bbs. Only the special edition has bbs.
