Sites like these usually have size limits. For the ones I manage, the files have to be smaller than 5MB and in PNG, GIF, or JPG format. Additionally, the number of files can have the same cumulative effect and be denied.

I'll go one step further, there is already a thread on this called "apron separation" - let's all make sure we keep posting in the same thread so that if we need to refer to updates and solutions, we have a "one stop shop"

I am so disappointed that so far, Lexus doesn't seem to have dedicated the resources to fix this issue. It is hard to believe that out of all the brands out there, Lexus which is notorious for quality and even gaps, can allow this to continue. I can't blame there for the issue happening, things happen, but for them to not take action to find an effective repair is unacceptable and shameful TBH. Even if they would at least acknowledge the issue and that they are working on a solution would provide some peace of mind. I love this car and while the issue hasn't been overly bad for me yet, it still bothers me of how they treat this car as almost like an illegitimate child and don't won't nothing to do with it.
I was telling the gf last evening that I am considering changing the IS 500 for either an RC F or an LC 500. I am leaning more toward the LC because of the more unique design, amazing exhaust note and 10 speed transmission but I am questioning whether I want to drop that kind of money on a car. I guess her prediction that I wouldn't keep the IS 500 for more than 2 years will materialize (lol). I may even just cut my losses and drive something a bit more tame, who knows but I am looking at a few options and only time will tell. I won't do anything until next spring that is for sure so I'll take the fall and winter to do my homework

Everyone will probably have to wait until the Japanese start getting their IS500s. Then Lexus will pay attention.
If you get an RC F weatherman get it with TVD. It makes a huge difference. And if you get a LC500 don't get a 2018. Bad suspension.

1-800-255-3987 this is the number to lexus brand engagement. tell everyone you know with this issue to file a complaint.
I called an opened a case with them.
By the way, my dealer has been great, they want to help, but there is not much they can do other than to put pressure on Lexus for a solution.
It is disappointing. Let's hope for the best.

I mean obviously, the front clip is different on an IS 500, but I'm starting to think the manufacturing process must be a little different, too. First the exhaust gasket issues, now this. Neither of these issues affect other trims.

Shoehorning the 2UR-GSE into the IS required modification to the body. I attribute the hiccups to new model bugs that will be worked out. Don’t hear about Exhaust CEL issues any longer because the issue was diagnosed and changes made.

Corporate Lexus probably doesn't care so far since this model was a request from the US market. I agree once Japanese buyers start seeing this issue they'll likely pay attention.

Dropped of my car with the Lexus approved body shop yesterday, which is owned by the same parent company as the dealer. I'm not too hopeful on a fix. The service advisor I was working with at the dealer no longer works there, and the dealer never coordinated with the body shop on the drop off. So nobody knew what was going on.
I get that there may be hiccups with the first model year, but not having coordination between the dealer's service department and the body shop they farm-out warranty body work to is unacceptable. It makes for a horrible customer experience when you show up at the body shop for something that is going to be covered by warranty and they ask you how you are going to pay for it.
My guess is this going to be like the exhaust gaskets, but way worse because there is probably not going to be systematic approach to fixing the separation.
As of now, I am thoroughly unimpressed with Lexus as a brand.
