It's crazy how us 2022 peeps had to wait almost 3 months for a configurator and the 2023 peeps got it in 3 hours lol

Refresh. It is working for me. Here is the brochure: https://www.lexus.com/content/dam/le...S-Brochure.pdf

Now that the configurator is live, these are all the changes I am noting across the IS lineup:
- F Sport Design is basically an F Sport exterior with an IS300 interior. For the extra $1000 you should absolutely get the regular F Sport.
- Dynamic Handling Package has been renamed to F Sport Handling Package. Having said that, it is missing a bunch of things now and it brings with it a price reduction.
- Ash trim on steering wheel and door panels is no longer offered on ANY IS.
- BBS Wheels are now a standalone option
- Carbon Fiber Spoiler is no longer a part of this package nor is it an accessory.
- The bottom of the side mirrors is now body colored instead of gloss black as before.
- If you were to add the new handling package and the BBS wheels as an option, the price of these options would amount to more than those of who paid $4200 for the Dynamic Handling Package that also brought the aforementioned extras.
- Black trim is now standard on the 350 F Sport (Not the F Sport Design). Lowkey jealous about that ngl.
- Accessories such as the performance exhaust and all weather mats went up in price, in some case substantially.
- BBS Wheels can now be optioned on the IS500 as a standalone option.
- There is a new badge for the F Sport Design trim which is silver with gray rather than silver with white as is the case on the full fledged F Sport.
- Black Enkeis as standard as we had expected
- No black clock trim as we saw on the JDM model.
- Satin Chrome trim on the IS500.
- The F Sport Design despite having the same wheel design as the regular F Sport, does not have a staggered set up. Good for those that want more tire life.
- IS500 Special Appearance Package costs $3570
- IS350 Special Appearance Package (gross) costs $1500
- F Sport Design does not get Active Sound Control, Cold Air Intake, or F Sport Exhaust despite having the same 3.5L V6 as the regular IS350

I think I would love getting this new orange color but not sure how I would feel with it after 5 years - I was planning on keeping the IS 500 as my long term retirement car and already getting the itch to trade - darn it!!! I am not sure how many will be available in Canada but worth calling my dealer tomorrow
That being said, I think that color looks amazing on the RC (being a coupe) - Not sure it suits the sedan as much, and the other drawback for me would mean likely an all black interior which I am not sure I want....I guess will sleep on this one.

I’m a pending IS500 owner so I’d like to know what sparks this in current IS500 owners

OMG - Don't read my desire to trade as a lack of interest in the car, IF I trade, it would be for a 2023 IS 500!!! I think that color would be cool and in Canada, our 2022 didn't come with a sunroof but is now standard on the 2023. TBH, the sunroof is really a non issue for me now as I enjoy the greater headroom and I am used to it now, but always loved that Orange color.
I can say, without hesitation that for me, the IS 500 is the best I ever owned and whether I trade for a 2023 or not, the IS will be in my garage for a long while....As long as you understand what you are getting (not a sport car, it is an IS 350 with the DHP and a bigger engine), then there is no way you can be disappointed with this car. Sure, initially there was the CEL issue that we don't hear anymore and never affected me, and the on-going front apron situation but that Lexus is aware and working to resolve. If you can find one, you will not regret it at all, again, as long as you go in as an informed consumer

No special editions just
Assuming 2023 is the last year of the IS500 with the 2UR-GSE it would be cool if there was a "Final Edition"
- F Sport Performance
- F Sport Performance Premium
