I agree. This is old school thinking. Bright paint colors doesn't = speed anymore. Manufacturers slap bright colors on all sorts of slow cars.
In fact I would argue the exact opposite. The luxury performance cars now come in 10 different shades of silver and gray.

i don't know if bright colors really signified speed, but obviously it made cars stand out; though it is true that many fast cars do come out in bright or vibrant colors. i'm not against bright colors at all, just not a fan of orange. hell, my mk1 IS was considered a unicorn: solar yellow, manual w/ blk leather/suede interior. and if anyone cares, the only reason i wanted the LE...for the interior. but you're correct w/ the many shades of silver, gray and light black...haha. i was just talkin to a homie about car colors. always see the basics. one of the basic colors we used to see in the 90's and early 2000's disappeared...what ever happened to champagne? not to say i'd buy a bucket in that color, but that used to be one of the regs. this car is no different when it comes to basic Japanese colors. if you've ever been, you'd think it was boring cause at least 85% of the cars over there are white...including their tractor trailers you see on the highways.
