yup, no clue and no choice. they get what they get and someone will scoop it up. now some have been lucky but had to travel to other states to get something close to what they wanted, but that's what has to be done if their local dealer doesn't get an order that was submitted.

My advice for those of you who want this car in 2023:
1. Cast your net far and wide. 1 deposit probably isn't enough.
2. Have your cash ready to go in your checking account.
3. Have a travel bag ready. A plane ticket may cost less than a local dealer's markup.
4. Be on this forum all the time when they start landing. Some of us post availability for fun and the difference between you getting the car or not could be a couple of minutes.

For what its worth JM Lexus in South Florida just told me that they won't be made for a while because of the fuel pump issues. I'm not buying it. Over the years JM has proven to be nothing but inept in all my dealings.

Can corroborate this statement. JM would not budge in a $10k markup for the LE. The girl on the phone was about as rude as I've ever experienced in a business transaction, especially a $70k+ proposition! Needless to say, I was able to get my LE at MSRP at another dealer. I have already contacted that dealer about a '23...good business means more business.

Another dealer just told me that they dont even know when the 23 350 are coming in let alone the is500. Im giving them till December for more concrete information before i cancel my deposit, been waiting in silence since April.

Remember it's just a job for most of them. They're not enthusiasts like us, so expect to almost always know more than they do.

According to the Lexus.JP website, 2023 IS Production started in August so the cars should start hitting the US dealers around October. However, this does not mean that IS500s were a part of the initial production. They may be delayed a bit.
