Damn I’m in Northern VA and had to put down a 5k no questions asked refundable deposit. They did say they were selling for MSRP though. Sales guy had me build one out on the website and send it to him. He said I should have it in 1st quarter 2023.

The BBS wheels being forged are structurally superior to the Lexus ones. But everyone and their grandma has them on their 350 DHP and LE. So it’s less special IMO.
Another reason not to get the BBS wheels- if you plan to track the car you can buy any set of lightweight JDM forged wheels for almost the same price (probably used). Bam! Now you have 2 sets of wheels.

If I see BBS wheels, I already know it's a more exclusive model.
Having said that, I rather like the look of the Enkei wheels, especially in silver. The black ones on the 2023s are not bad either.

Did your sales rep tell you about color restrictions? Such as the blues not being available during the first run of the 23 model. Grecian Water would have been my first choice . Decided to go with ultra white or caviar instead

They didn't mention anything about color restrictions, just asked if they get another color in would I still be interested. I told them to let me know whenever they get ANYTHING in.

Part of me misses the thrill of the chase, calling all the dealers from CA to Texas, checking 3rd party sites constantly, and thinking about trying to get the car all day... But I also never want to do it again. It's strange. I wish you all the best of luck getting a 2023 for those trying.

I would have to argue against your comment of everyone having BBS wheels. I asked the Inventory Manager at my dealer which is a very large volume dealer in South Florida and she told me that I was the only IS350 with DHP that they received for the entire 22MY run, and once you add in the 3 IS500 LEs they sold, it brings it to a grand total of only 4 22MY IS' with BBS wheels. I definitely feel that they are more exclusive.

Agreed. Sit around trying to be nice and you’ll get left behind.
