I Pestered a dealer for over a year and they sold the car to a guy who just walked in and threw him a deal. There's no right way to do this other than to give them money

I hear you. To clarify, you have to be aggressive in many ways. I had thousands of dollars deposited across the State and checked in once a week. E.g. A different dealer every week. No one was contacted more than once a month.

Seven months later, I ended up out of State. 🤷🏽‍♂️😜

carlsbad has one coming in nebula gray stripped out model white interior invoice $56,867 MSRP $59,085

and escondido has one coming in white with gray black interior, this one is a premium invoice $63459 MSRP $66035

Carlsbad and escondido are sister stores and I believe they are doing $2500 over MSRP

I will keep you all updated with what I hear back as well. I'm on the list at my local dealer and they are just doing MSRP + $1000-$1500 in dealer options which I'm okay with...

I gave them my preferences which is basically any of the colors with any of the interiors - so a lot of options hahah.

1. Grecian Water w/ Black
2. Grecian Water w/ White
3. Infrared w/ Black
4. Infrared w/ White
5. USB 2.0 w/ Black
6. USB 2.0 w/ White
7. USB 2.0 w/ Red

I feel like I'm kinda done with greyscale for now and want something a little more fun.

I was worried about the white interior at first but I think if I just wipe it down and keep it decently clean it should hold up if that's what I end up with.

My dealer told me that they should be hearing more about allocations soon (but you know how it goes... they just want that deposit money lol)

I would definitely recommend not being too picky on color. I got my car (infrared black interior) because the 5 people in front of me didn’t have that color on their preference. I’m pretty sure that was the last IS500 they ended up getting.

yeah for sure. Part of me wants to put cloudburst on there as well just in case but honestly if I’m spending this much I think it’s important I get something that I really really love - and I know that’s a color!

Its perfectly reasonable to go for a color you want. It’s a lot of money. Color is important. You’ll be staring at it for a long time. Fact that you’re on this board make your chances good.
