2023 IS 500 Sales

Just received a call from one of the Lexus dealers where I'm on the waiting list. They were "gifted" (I believe from another dealer) an Atomic Silver on Black IS500 (2023) which is incoming and they are emailing me the details since the person in line ahead of me declined the offer.
My preference is Grecian Water on Black (#1) and Cloudburst Grey on Black (#2). My current daily is a silver on black sedan which I've had for over 10 years and I'm really over that color combo.
Certainly seems to me that the 2023 allocations are starting to trickle in and the dealer that called me said this car was not from their (unknown) pending allocations.
I'm probably going to pass but I'll make that decision as soon as I receive the office email offer.

I agree with this take. Last year, I was waiting on a USB and none ended up showing up in my area. I got lucky this year, but not sure how it's going to look afterwards. Early this year, we expected a second wave that just never arrived.

Lord help me Jesus!! 25k of add-ons? I am so glad I live in Canada where I was able to get mine at 2500$ below MSRP (even though our MSRPs and taxes are higher)

I passed on the offer. They were selling at MSRP with no market adjustment. Pre installed options included Matte BBS wheels ($2450), trunk mat/cargo net/wheel locks ($315), tinted windows ($499) = subtotal of $67,258.

Can confirm, I received the same quote. Passing on the offer. I am on at two other dealers and I’m fine waiting until something more reasonable ($5,000 or less). In my area, $5,000 dealer adjustment has become the norm but typically includes a host of dealer installed options (tint, ceramic coating, etc.) — I’ve seen this applied to everything from Toyota Supra to Hyundai Palisade. With included options, I don’t consider $5k to be unreasonable to get the exact spec you want. $25,000 however is not reasonable on a mid-$60k car, to me at least.
