Got it. They cant sell a car until they have it on their lot. Makes sense. I hope it all works out for you. I wouldn't have celebrated that I "got the car" yet, esp posting about it here. But I have major trust issues LOL.

Trade for color?
Hi,
My 2023 IS 500 is set to arrive end of November. It's not the exact color combo I want but I understand I can't be too picky. I'm mainly afraid I won't love the bright red interior. I love the darker reds in some of the Lexus models, but this red seems bright. I know some people love it. Mine will be a Performance Premium in Cloudburst Gray with Red interior. Has the wheel upgrade. I'd be interested in trading someone for a black interior in the following colors: Cloudburst Gray, Grecian Water, Ultrasonic Blue, Atomic Silver, Iridium. I figure it's a long shot but maybe someone is hoping to get my color combo.

TBH, I had the Rioja red in my 2017 IS and I loved it a lot so I get what you are saying and had the same reservations about the Circuit red in the IS 500. If you have been following my journey, I had a 2021 white on white IS 350 and was hoping to get the white on white combo for my 2022 but all the dealer could get me was the white on red. I was very hesitant for the same reason, I was worried the red was too red and that there would be too much of it but when the car arrived and saw it in person, I was sold!! I think once you see it, the red interior will not be a show stopper in my opinion but I could be wrong.

My dealer called the other day asking if I would be interested in a Infrared on Black. I hope it doesn't come with the BBS wheels. I personally like the Enkei wheels better. I don't like how most of these cars came in with the optional $2450 BBS Wheels. Any tips on how to negotiate for them to take the BBS wheels off?

Unfortunately I suspect you will have to buy it as is if the BBS are listed on it. If the vehicle has been built already which I suspect it is, it is too late to remove the BBS as it is a factory installed option, not port installed option. And even if the vehicle were in allocation status, the dealer will come up with every excuse imaginable to get you to spend an extra $2k just so they get an extra $200 profit. No harm in asking though.
