I have a strange question. Has anyone bought the IS 500, but then trade it in later for another better color IS at a dealership? Like for example, I buy (finance) black color IS 500. Then next month, another dealership has a White color that I like and is willing to sell it to me. Can I trade in my Black one for the white one? I'm sure I will probably lose out on money. I was just wondering if it is possible since I haven't paid off the Black IS yet (would still be financing it).

You sure can do anything you want with the car, but like you said, this shortly after, you could lose some money, I think the market is cooling down a bit (around here at least)

Porsche Ontario South Cali has one LE IS500 for sale, $68881 with 3000 miles on it. The seller would definitely loose the tax plus possible $2-3K looss.

Plenty folks have sold/traded in their 500s for profit. However, really depends on timing. People are paying 10's of thousands over MSRP with no hesitation for this car, so just got to find the buyer

I know of nobody who’s actually sold for a profit. After tax title & license and tint and PPF (“paint protection fools”), people are selling at a loss.
