I got mine for MSRP and thought that was decent enough.

^^ same here I bought 2 IS500's from the same dealer for msrp. For what it's worth msrp it's definitely a car to own. But Markups even 10k over better options out there.

I've only heard tale of two different people getting below MSRP due to really long history with their dealerships. But the majority of us just went for MSRP

I paid 2500 extra I know of peope who paid 10k extra, but there is two listings of cars under msrp. If the car sits for a while you probably can get 1-2k off

I wonder how limited. Will the IS500 be on sale for the entirety of this IS body style, like the ISF? I certainly hope so.

Yup, I was one of the lucky one to get it below MSRP (2200$) but I have had a long standing relationship with my dealer...

My dealer seems to think the IS 500 won't have another model year. I realize it is a dealer saying that but it might be a 2 model year car.

I mentioned before I got mine under sticker but again I had been with this dealer for quite awhile.

^^ I don't buy this - They will make the 500 available until the IS gets its FMC which is likely going to be as a 2025 or 2026 MY, so that means the IS 500 would see a 2024 or 2025 MY. My gut tells me that the 2025 MY will be the FMC, which means this generation IS would have been out for MY 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 while the IS 500 would have been produced for 2022, 2023 and 2024. So that would mean this MY plus one more year of the IS 500 but that is just my gut feeling.

I guess i'll pull the trigger. The vehicle is currently in transit and will be at the port by march 17. The dealer said that they will get it in a week or so after that. I asked him about the price and he did say that they usually mark it up for $2499 but he'll give it to me for MSRP. The thing I noticed when I was shopping around, most of these dealers won't even quote me an out the door price. Is it because the vehicle is still in transit or they hiding something?

On another note, I was hoping to get an infrared but that's a slim chance too I guess. And probably be marked up more.

I just bought one in the Philly area for $1,000 under MSRP yesterday. Lexus of Lehigh Valley in Allentown, PA has 1 inbound in about a week that is advertised as $2,500 under MSRP, however they were trying to screw me on the trade. But if you're just buying the car with no trade, you could make out.

I got mine at MSRP as well. The dealership is trying to make the sale TODAY, so they’ll scare you with whatever works. The Lexus exec said 4 model years for the IS 500, but I can see 2024 being the last. Maybe make it an Inspiration Series only and no other color? 🤷🏽‍♂️ At any rate, with current sales, I do not think 2023 will be the last.

It's because dealers are trash.

It’s a sales tactic to keep you from going somewhere else to buy. They’re making you feel like they’re doing you a favor.

Yeah, I thought so too. But based on my research and the current market.. I guess MSRP is the best we going to get for these IS500 for now. And comparing the one they quoted me to the other dealership in my area, this one was the cheapest just because it didn't have that much option except for the BBS wheels. The dealer added all weather floor mats etc.. but nothing crazy that's why the sticker price is lower than most.
