I finally got to test drive a 2022 Launch Edition. Absolutely gorgeous. One thing I noticed is that the seats were incredibly stiff and hard as though they had no padding. I had test driven a regular IS and found the seats very comfortable to sit in. Stupid question--was this something unique to the all of the IS 500s because they are supposed to be performance oriented cars or something unique to the launch edition? thanks

The FSport seats are generally bolstered more than the regular IS seats. From what I can see and feel, the seats in my IS 500 Premium are the same as the seats in my old 2016 IS 350 FSport. Maybe the suede in the LE felt a little different? I haven’t sat in one.

My seats are quite comfortable. They are nuluxe, not leather. It’s amazing how well the bolsters fit without any adjustments. Maybe a LE isn’t the best choice for you.

spoken like the true mac-hater...haha. the material sort of resembles the material in the prius, but isn't like it at all...not even close. i don't have any issues with the comfortability with my seats.

Neither, the microsuede is soft and comfortable.

That is not something I've felt. I like my IS seats more than my GS and ES seats.

If it was a "regular IS", was it an F Sport or not? The 500 and Launch Edition have seats that are exactly the same shape as other F Sport models.

When you said "normal IS", I mean, was that IS an F Sport? All F Sports have the same seats (except for the suede portion on the LE).
