Have the IS 500, have not driven an IS F. I do not like the small gas tank for sure thats my biggest gripe. As for the driving I think it feels similar to the GS F as its a slightly longer wheelbase than the regular IS. I feel if Lexus does release an IS F it will be too late to be honest since the Japanese market just received the F-Sport model just this year.

I went from 21' STI to 22' IS500 the STI outshines steering feel but then again a totally different class of vehicle Turbo awd. The IS500 is just right IMO sure not as precise as (ISF) & not a true "F" car but it's just right for a GT Car Also I've test driven 08' ISF, 10' ISF & 11 ISF many years ago. I have no complaints.

Agreed. With it being more of a track vehicle, the IS F has a harsher ride than the IS 500. I prefer the everyday ride quality of the 500 as I will rarely (if ever) track it. That said, the IS 500 outperforms the IS F on the track according to Car and Driver (https://www.caranddriver.com/feature...istorical-data), albeit by a mere half second.

Others on here definitely disagree with my perception so guessing it’s really about what your frame of reference is.

Separately don’t know how many options you’ll have to settle for alternate colors. Just not that many of them and most dealers are only getting two each, with their deposit wait list seemingly much longer. Hopefully that changes in early 2023.
I found that steering feel improved a bit when I installed LCA bushings from RC F on my is350.

Right on. Out of the box this car is supposed to be comfortable and supple first and beast-capable second. Want more, go the modding route, but then you’ve changed the point of the car.
