Answer...I actually hope it will be all electric. Given how rare the 500 are due to the chip shirtage fiasco, it will make our cars that more special, even more so in Canada given how few got sold here

I wonder if Lexus will go all out EV on the IS. I think they'll do a hybrid. Bottom line is that it will take decades for this energy transition to happen. ICE's will be around for a long time still.

Agreed and from what a read, Toyota has made the sane determination. They’ll do an EV here and there to show they have skin in the game, but the bread-and-butter will be hybrid technology.

There's already a IS300h and from what I've read it gets nearly 50mpg. Incredible it's not available in the US already.

Yet, they sell the LC500 hybrid. Why someone would pick the hybrid version of this sports car instead of the monster V8 is perplexing, for a car that you'll be having fun with on weekends as opposed to your daily driver (at least for us in the North).
