I asked my dealer today about a USB and Grecian Water. Asked him to let me know when they get one on their radar. He said unequivocally the reason for not seeing Grecian Water in the 2023 production run is that it was removed from availability for the 500. He does not know why the website shows it as available. Grecian Water is only available on the 350. He said should a USB/Black come along, he would let me know. I post this not to start an argument, but to inform those interested in this color to reach out to their dealers for input. I do not wan to see someone miss out on a car waiting on a color that may never come at all. My dealer could be wrong, but they have been spot on down to the day on multiple things related to my car.

I would take a copy of the built sheet posted just below your post and take that to the dealer and maybe suggest that they be careful on what they tell customers if they don't have anything in writing from Lexus. These salespeople do moe disservice than anything else....

@Grecian5 out of curiosity, are you able to see how many Grecian Water are heading to CA/West Coast? It is funny that the OP said this, earlier today I recd a call from my dealer that a White on Red is coming in and not claimed and asked if I wanted instead of the color combo I put a deposit for. I said no thank you and but mentioned my college buddy is interested in a GW. She didn't see any for the region and that she needs to confirm if they are actually going to make any because her GSM said that Lexus is not making any GW IS500 for 2023. I will tell her that there are already a couple of GW out in the US so that information from the GSM is wrong.

 

I'm only seeing 3 total for the whole country. 2 are in transit with 1 headed to Tucson, AZ marked as "Presold", one headed to Park Place in Grapevine, Texas not marked as "Presold" (does not necessarily mean it's available, to be clear), and one looks like it arrived at the dealership today in El Paso, TX and is sold. The one at Park Place has the BBS wheels and white interior, if that makes any difference.

 

Wow. Glad this is the case. I do not know why he said this. Everything he has said otherwise has been spot on. Very glad to know it is not the case.

 

Thank you for the information! Do you think there will be sent to CA or other parts of the US? Seems the GWs are out in TX or south area (when my buddy I were looking after I posted, found one GW in FL). Out on the west, most we’ve seen are white, caviar and some cloud burst grey. Well I’ve seen like 6 molten pearls but haven’t seen a 23 red, usb or gw in CA, WA or OR.

 

Honestly...no clue. I don't have any visibility into what's on the production schedule. If there are any more coming, they aren't far enough along in the pipeline to have been allocated to a dealer yet. I'll keep an eye out.

Seems like "used from the factory" kind of situation, being that it's over MSRP. I'd be curious to see the history report on it

 

Since I have not received a PM request for info, I found it on the carfax sales site. That should answer your question Kanpai. It is at Apex Imports in N. Carolina. Last 4 digits to the vin are 2148. Just before mine!

 

Just a quick look at that dealer, their intent is to make money on it. CARFAX shows the car sold from the OG dealer and for sale from Apex after 200 miles. I highly doubt someone bought it and turned around to sell it immediately, so seems very sketchy. Plenty reviews on the dealer shows they do sketchy stuff, like mandatory add-ons. GMs are also super combative to poor reviews, so just proves the point. Scummy dealers gonna grift.

Edit: In the reviews, there is a picture of the car. The person reviewed the Lexus dealership it was purchased at (but the timing doesn't match up), and then of Apex, with a picture of the car. Guess someone really did dump it after only a couple weeks of owning it

 

I talked to the previous owner on the IS500 Owners Facebook group. Dude apparently changed jobs and up not being a big fan of the car's color after all.
