Default Either the PA4 are best winter tires ever or the IS500 is a beast in the snow.

Had a few pick up trucks spin out right infront of me. Also had a few RAV4s get stuck in my neighbourhood. But the IS500 just ploughs through like nothing signifcant is happening.

Also when driving in the highway while everything is completely white, the car does not fishtail. It just keeps steady in the lane. I can easily carry on at normal weather speeds on the highway while I see everyone around me slowing down to a standstill. The car just finds grip everywhere.

Either the IS500 is an absolute beast in the snow. Or the PA4s are really some extremely capable winter tires.

Or the other cars had crap tires/drivers. The IS500 is fine in the winter, and the PA4s are decent tires.

Good tires are key in the snow. I rarely use 4WD in my Jeep since my tires are heavy snow rated and I don't drive like a dingus. Most of the other vehicles you see are likely running poor tires for the conditions.

Not of course comparable, but my 21 IS350 AWD was performing better than most FWD/AWD cars in heavy snow over the last couple of winters, and I took it out during heavy snow storms. And all that on the stock all season tires.

I think you're right - the IS is a beast , in more ways than one !

Other vehicles are probably on all-season tires. Dedicated winter tires in snow make a big difference.

Yup! I have the exact same tires and I have no issues in the snow at all.
