Kits are finally done, we were waiting on brackets to be machined, but they’re inbound to the US now.

Should have mine in hand and installed soon.

Can't wait to see the rears.
For the front setup didn't know it'll have brackets. My OEM GSF fronts was direct bolt on.

those aren't brembos. on our cars, just have to shave some of the dust plate for clean fitment.

Yeah because it’s not the factory Brembo, an adapter bracket is needed.

OEM RCF/GSF Brembo fronts are exactly this. These aren’t Brembo calipers, so a bracket is needed.

My kit is done and is on the way. Paint matched to my car.

due to Lexus’s inability to supply the EPB actuators, we had to move back to a dual caliper setup, regardless of rotor size.

If you’ve ordered a kit, you should expect to have it very soon.

have to see what it looks like installed, not that looks matters with this set up, but it may "look crowded."

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t doing this for looks partially. Lot of cars have a dual caliper setup, so I don’t imagine it would look too crowded.

don't get me wrong...i wanted to do the rears cause i did the fronts (to be uniform), but i'm on the fence now w/ the BBMS system. i'll wait for your guys' install and make my decision from there.

Same boat as cp2. I want to see the installed pictures before I buy the rear kit. I also got the RC/GS F front already.
Wonder if there is an option to paint the EPB caliper black and caliper to the desired color if it looks too crowded?
I'm not going to lie. BBK looks great though. Especially to match the front BBK.

^ I concur! blk ebrake caliper would be a subtle fix. i would hope the company would be able to provide that request seeing you're paying for it.

The way I look at it is this:

Every performance variant of a car comes with bigger calipers, rotors, and pads.

RC to RCF

330i to M3

RX350 to RX500

gs to GSF.

The increase in rotor size gives you more thermal mass. More clamping pressure from a bigger caliper usually isn't necessary, most cars can lock up the brakes with the stock setup, but thats not where the value is in a BBK. The pads on the IS500 are comically small, and all the kinetic energy is transferred to heat energy through that tiny pad.

It's in thermal transfer efficiency and thermal mass.

A lot of companies and OEM's have done the engineering and research already.

Edit: But you’re right, a lot of people install BBK's for the subjective improvement to the aesthetic of the car.
Thank you for such an informative and helpful post. Does/will the installation of this kit do anything to address or improve the “soft/squishy/long travel” condition of the brake pedal? Or is this more inherently associated with the brake system (booster/cylinder) etc.

your brakes shouldn’t ever feel soft or squishy, that’s likely due to air in your braking system. However, assuming no air is in your system, changing out your current setup for this one won’t change the pedal travel, rather you’ll feel more engagement sooner.
