Taking delivery of my IS 500 on New Years Eve

Awesome, thanks so much! That's what I needed.
Congrats on the new car. I was torn between iridium and atomic silver and wound up with atomic. Seeing your car kinda makes me wish that I went the other way. I think your car looks great with the BBS whereas I don't like them on mine. Though I've already got a set of wheels in the garage waiting on tires to fix that. I've also got the RCF bushings to put on. I figure it's a good place to start and if I still want it tighter I can go with one of the other options down the road. I told myself this car was going to remain unmodified but that didn't last long.

Scheduling PPF, ceramic coating, and tint tomorrow. They said they should be able to get me in this week. It’s going to be raining most of this week so no harm in not having the car for a few days.
I also ordered the RCF lower control arm bushings. I realize they’re not as good as RR or Figs, but I didn’t want to change the NVH much. I’ll install those in the next month or so. I have a set of QuickJacks which will make this a bit easier in the garage.

Thanks to you, I tapped the mirror for my uniden. I had mirror mount so I mounted mine on the review mirror. Thanks again!

I agree. I wasn’t sure, but after seeing it in person I really like this combo. It’s also one of the rarest of the existing IS 500s out there.

Correct. Pin 1 for +12v and pin 2 for ground. That will give you switched ignition. Pin 6 is constant +12v and is the only wire on that row. You need very small mirror taps. I bought a 3 pack kit from Amazon for $15 which had cables with three different sizes. Sharpening the pin helped a lot. It’s a very small 10 socket connector. If you need help with the trim removal just let me know.
There’s a small cover you pull down first with two clips. Insert your finger between it and the headliner and pull it down gentle. The main cover slides parallel to the windshield and is attached with two clips and two slides. Meaning you push it / slide it down the windshield towards the defroster vents. Do not pull it down towards the console.

Got the car back from the shop today. Came out amazing. Anyone looking for a shop in the Elk Grove / Sacramento area, check out Fine Line Auto Detailing on Calvine. I went there due to a referral. Tell Tommy that David sent you his way. They are perfectionists.

There's a guy on some of the Facebook Lexus Groups that makes a plug and play harness that inverts those wires
