Hello All,
I’ve reached out to 2 different Lexus dealerships and can’t seem to get a definitive answer.

Can you get a Key Card for a 2023 IS-500?

yes, I just ordered it. They had to put the part number in the system because it wasn't in there. Mine should be here in the next couple of weeks. You also need to order the key itself, its a flat key and does not come in the credit card itself.

89904-48X71 Credit Card this is for a 2023, I'm not sure if this will work on a 2022 as they had their own number. $184.15
69515-30350 is the master key that slides into the credit card $45.02
8975B-24010 is the battery cover to replace the one that it comes with which is blank. The part number has an F on it. $2.52
89072-30760 is a normal remote housing that has an F on it, it has no insides. I replaced the outer housing on my remotes with this because it has an F on it. $86.52

I put an order in for the key card (thin plastic one shaped like a credit card) for my 2023 about two months ago and it still hasn’t arrived. Parts department did say at the time that part numbers for the 2023 weren’t matching up with what would be used on a 2022, but don’t know if that’s an indication of incompatibility or confirmation that the key card has been redesigned for 2023.

Please accept my apologies if I didn’t understand your response. Did you mean to say that 1 order = top cover and bottom cover? And if I wanted to replace the housing on my 2 key fobs, I’d have to place 2 orders? Thanks for the clarification. 🙂

You need two of these (listed below) if you want to replace the keyfob housing so that it has an F on it like in the picture, each order below with get you the top and bottom housing, you just have to switch the insides from yours to the new one.

I’d try another dealer. Had to order my key card for my ‘23. It took a couple months to get in but it is available and is compatible with our cars.

Just ordered the parts you listed here, for my Lexus IS500 2023. Like others in the blog, I was told several times that the card key (i.e. smart key) was not available for my 2023. Thank you for your posting!

So, is this a credit card sized version of the key fob? I'm not familiar with these..

Yes, it should be the same key card type, that Lexus decided not to bundle with the IS500. There are two parts to it: 1) The credit card type key and 2) The key for the credit card type key. I ordered two additional parts to replace the original key fob with one with the F emblem on it. This is the place where I went to order all of these parts: https://www.lexusoeparts.com/

I have not received my parts yet, but have not heard that they are not available either!

Did you have to take the new key card to a Lexus dealer to program? The one that I just purchased, according to the Lexus OE parts folks does not come programmed!

My local dealer was able to add the Smart Key Card to my IS500 configuration; with no problems. I don't understand why Lexus said it was not available when you can buy it and simply have it programmed. All of the parts that "lojackfty" posted on 09162023 worked great without any issues. The normal fob with the F on it looks great as well!
