Do any of you gentlemen have OEM parts coverage with your insurance provider? I'm wondering if switching to a carrier that offers it is worth it being that the IS 500 will be a new car for the next few years.
Otherwise I believe I'd have to pay the difference between OEM and aftermarket parts when it comes to body shop repairs. I've never gone through that process since my last insurance (AAA) had OEM parts coverage. What do yall suggest?

All of ya'll are lucky. I pay 2300.00 a year! So all of you are better off than I. I live in a free to sue'em state so car insurance is ridiculous!

I have USAA (proud military family) and I pay $1600 annually. It basically jumped $500 when I switched from the ‘16 IS 350. Perfect driving record (knock on wood), pristine credit, and I’m 51 (old age discount) 😜, but I live in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. So the rates, along with the property taxes are high. 🤷🏽‍♂️

…but I wouldn’t drive anything else, so I’ll gladly pay to play.

Side Note: If you can avoid going the Progressive route, please do.

Agreed with skipping Progressive if you can. My mom is a legal secretary for an attorney that deals with accidents and getting Progressive to pay anything is a huge pain in the ***. The companies that my mom has mentioned are easy to deal with are:
Geico
Allstate
Nationwide
Liberty Mutual

Maybe because I have 3 vehicles insured, plus homeowners (not sure if that matters), but with State Farm my Lexus only rate is $600./year. That amount considers their Drive Safe & Save program which gives me a $150./yr. discount. With any claims over the years, never had any hassle.

But then, I am a pretty nice guy.
