I live in So Cali, not sure if it's more prevalent out here but even before I had my 500 I had a '22 350 (but it was always sparkling) and I would purposefully park far away yet every time I would walk to my car there would be some jack ***, usually it's a nice lifted truck parked right next to me when there are plenty of open spots. I don't usually see beaters next to me, just occasionally.
Maybe it is "herd mentality", like people thinking I have some crazy sense of a perfect parking spot when all I'm trying to do is avoid door dings.

I see a white IS500 in Columbia, SC traveling from Sumter on Garners Ferry road a few times a week in the morning. I'm usually driving my Grand Cherokee but sometimes in my white IS500.
