I am curious why she did the wrap? Was it to protect the paint or she wanted to have a unique sort of white? So you drove her IS 500 to Mexico? That would have been a fun drive and I can see why you would want one after driving it. I have a friend that has been in my car a few times and every time, he is like "OMG this car is sooooo amazing!" - Sadly, he can afford one but is just unwilling to part with his money. I am not sure why some get more pleasure out of seeing money grow in a bank account/investments than enjoying it?! There is a balance, don't get me wrong. That being said, when you have over a million, a lifetime pension and are 65, why not enjoy it?

Are you sure it was actually white and not a white pearl wrap? The reason I ask is because a lady friend I know that has an IS500 lives near there but her car, while white from the factory, is currently wrapped in a white pearlescent wrap. I've been fortunate enough to drive said car and I gotta say, it's a drug. I can see why you guys like it so much. I took it to Mexico and before I realized I was doing 120. I feel like a tweaker; I want MORE!!!

We have 5 IS 500s in our car club, but I have yet to see one out in the wild. Guess I can’t count Caffeine & Octane this weekend, it’s JDM month so I expect to see others there.

Digressing from the main topic- I am so jealous your Cars&Coffee type events have JDM events at all. They refuse to have any JDM themed events here for Portland C&C, citing bad behavior may ensue. I think that's being judgy.

I’ve seen a USB in Salinas but didn’t have a chance to chat with the driver as we were driving in opposite directions. I was not driving my car though so there was no head nod from the other guy (or gal).

Bad behavior?! That’s usually reserved for the MOPAR folks. I usually leave around 10:30 / 11am, because they’ll show up with their shenanigans. The Portland folks are just mean.

I've spotted only three in the wild so far, no pics because I was driving but two out of three have have posted pictures here.
I'm in Toronto and the closet "landmark" is IKEA by 404 and 401.
I saw a 2023 Atomic Silver the other night passing by Toronto Botanical Gardens in Leslie. I saw saw the black Enkeis as it was passing and the quad exhaust tips in my mirrors.
A week earlier, I saw a Grecian Water pull into CT.
The first and only IS500 saw before was an LE last winter and it was by the Shell Station near Bayview Village one morning.
I have yet to see one up close in person...

It is time for a dedicated spotted thread! Even in the busiest of cities, it seems rare to spot these cars regularly. Let’s hear who has spotted another IS 500. Good chance it could be another member here.
I'll start it off:
I saw my first IS500 driving on the road yesterday. White IS500 yesterday evening heading east on Lantana Road in Lake Worth, FL. White is sexy btw!
