Does anyone know the widest rear tire size that will fit the stock wheel for the IS500? I was thinking of going with 275/35/19,
Thanks for your help!
I run a 245/275 stagger on my ISF w/ 19" rims, but I know some guys have run 285s on the stock rims as well. Beyond that, you're probably getting some bulge/stretch and pushing limits.
I have read others who have gone to the 245 up front and 275 in the rear. That's my plan come spring time.
Other than the tires being more expensive, is there any downside to running wider tires than the rims come with stock? And I mean just the 275 not more than that where they will bulge over.

Aside from the cost, it all upsides! Especially on the 500 that is way "undertired" from factory!

Awesome, I may do the same then when my tires are starting to go. I can't justify replacing them before they're worn to my bank account. Is there anything I need to do to make it fit or does it just go right on?
The rear 9.5" wheels will carry up to a 285 cross section tire. The 8.5" fronts up to a 255 cross section tire. When I had my ISF I ran RCF wheels (9" and 10") with 255/35/19 and 295/30/19 Bridgestone S04. I advise trying to keep the ODs very close to stock.

Wider tires can tramline, but 275 isn't too bad. I think I had 285 on the Vette and it wasn't too bad.
I would check into the size of the sidewall. Taller/shorter tire will throw off your speedometer, if you care about that.
