That part, 100% agree.

They have 13 IS 500’s on their site … are they a mark-up &/or add-on dealer?

About a month ago, when I asked about the possibility of getting USB, I was told they only existed on the west coast. Or maybe it was both coasts? Either way, they told me I'd probably be waiting a long time if I wanted USB here in flyover country.

I ended up driving a few hours to get a white on red instead. But USB is hawt, no doubt.

Oh yes. Big time. They had a Caviar/Circuit Red coming in that I inquired about a month ago and when the BDC rep called me he said he would pass along my info to the sales team. I told them that if their intent was to charge a penny over MSRP, they shouldn't call me. And what do you know, I never got a call back. This is a Craig Zinn dealer that also owns Lexus of Pembroke Pines, and @DLPTony can tell you all about them...
This is also the same dealer that shamelessly asked for a $100,000 markup on a 2022 LX.

Unbelievably, I just got word from my local dealer: They're getting a black/red example, built close enough to my specifics, in about 2 months. The car isn't spec'd with the sills that I wanted, but it does back the black BBS wheels that I wanted (after they didn't offer them in 2022).

Guess patience does pay off... Somehow. Now, fingers crossed that finance rates improve in the next 2 months.

Congrats and good luck on those rates!! I’ve been over 3 months coming to land my Molten and I got cold feet TWICE, and it about drove me crazy—word of advice: if that’s a spec you’re good with then just stick with it and 2 mos. will be over before you know it.

Back at yall with more under MSRP deals but this time for my Florida Peeps:
New 2023 Lexus IS 500 for sale in Miami, FL 33156: Sedan Details - 680845228 - Autotrader

Also the market is riddddleeeeddddd with used IS500s. Some of which are decently priced. There is one IS500, perhaps the first, listed under $60,000 (by $1 but hey, baby steps) and most LE's are sitting around $65-67,000. This example caught my attention:
Used 2023 Lexus IS 500 for sale in Albuquerque, NM 87109: Sedan Details - 681498721 - Autotrader
$2500 off the new MSRP for a car with only 800 miles. Yes it is a used car but someone may be willing to get it to save $2500, and I'm sure you'd probably be able to haggle it down to $63,500. My favorite example is the @DLPTony spec 2022 IS500 at a Mitsubishi dealer in my area that has been on their lot for over a year and has gone from $80,000 to just north of $65,000. I'm glad a greedy dealer took the L on that car. The sad part is that it won't even sell at $65,000 so they have a couple more thousand to lose before it sells. At that point I feel like no one should buy it since its been sitting for months and who knows what toll that has taken on the car.

This was the car I tried to get from Pembroke in Jan 2022, but those jokers played around too much. It popped up at the Mitsubishi dealership after I picked up mine, but I’ve kept tabs on it. It should be at someone’s home, not left to rot at a 🤮 Mitsubishi 🤮 dealer.

What would someone trade in a Lexus for at a Mitsubishi dealer? They have nothing anymore. Maybe they bought it through an auction?

The heck if I know, I settled on the auction theory as well or a non-Mitsubishi product. Next to the Aztec, the face on their SUVs are frightening so it couldn’t have been a trade.

Right now Mitsubishi is the new Suzuki & back in March 2007 I bought a brand new Evolution IX GSR locally. Had it as a dd for 3 years & it was a blast owning that car. The EVO IX was also my 1st ever sports car I ever owned. Wish I can scoop up a low mileage one but the prices are insane especially on BAT.

Yeah it’s definitely an auction car. A buddy of mine was a SA at the sister dealer and the stories I heard of that dealer are scary lol. Just knowing and seeing videos of how some of the cars were treated, I wouldn’t touch it with a 10 foot pile even if I was blind.

Yeah some dealers are shameless. Coming into the Lexus world for the first time I was shocked at the same shenanigans I expect from the Kia store or something.

There are good ones out there. I got mine of course for MSRP but the best thing is just a $59 filing fee and that’s it, when other dealers around them charge $1000 or more.

And the used markups are silly on the LE and Molten—a GMC dealer on CA has a Molten for $79k and a private seller has one for $81k. I’m not mad, I just can’t imagine they think it’ll sell for that much.
