Auction for sure. Local Audi dealer here is kinda small for market, but always have interesting used cars. Multiple Civic Type R’s, STI, etc.
Same for local Nissan and Hyundai dealer. Larger group, always have like Vettes, Supras, occasional Hellcat or something cool. Was up there tonight getting wife’s car back from service and they had a Porsche Taycan. Whoever is buying for their auctions is having fun lol.
Right now Mitsubishi is the new Suzuki & back in March 2007 I bought a brand new Evolution IX GSR locally. Had it as a dd for 3 years & it was a blast owning that car. The EVO IX was also my 1st ever sports car I ever owned. Wish I can scoop up a low mileage one but the prices are insane especially on BAT.
I have a GG Low mileage, mint, all stock, Evo 9 MR (not for sale), that I very much enjoy. Even though lots of Lexus products over the years, the EVO is truly a fun machine that has served me well. Hope you get another one.
Personally, I would let them suffer and keep their inventory!! These people had no remorse in sticking it to the people, let the people now stick it to them and keep their inventory
IMO, this makes sense. It's usually the dealers that have to give the deepest discounts who end up trying to charge the highest markups. The key point here being that dealers like that have a philosophy of turning tricks in order to succeed.
Dealers who don't believe in turning tricks usually focus on building enough of a relationship with their customers that they have a more stable business come boom or bust.
Like in anything else, trust and goodwill is worth something, especially when times get hard.
Never thought I'd see the day that the same dealer that wants to charge @DLPTony thousands over sticker would come UNDER sticker. but here you go my South Florida peeps.
::sigh:: Woosah. I shall not let these devils get under my skin. If I can put ‘Sam Car Legion’ in a box, these guys will be easy-peasy. 😂

What trim is your IS500? Base - Ultrasonic Blue 2.0/Circuit Red. I heard base models were super rare so at first I did not believe my order was a 'Base 500' They were probably just saying that but when I got my car it was for sure a 'Base' IS500. I did not need the ML and NAV.
How did you get your IS500? Went to dealership and placed a factory order. Took about 11 months to get the car. It arrived on a transporter when I was coincidentally @ the dealer doing financing at a low 2.35% fixed.
At first I was kinda pissed I was not notified ahead of time of the factory change to BBS Matte black forged wheels. I ordered the base so thought was going to get Enkei. I negotiated down my BBS to a fair price. According to the dealer, Lexus Japan required them to add-on BBS. I did not believe them but upon further research most 23' IS500 do indeed have the BBS. It is very rare to get Enkei's I have never seen one.
What is the MSRP? $60k+
'SERVCO LEXUS' For sure I would recommend them but we live on an Island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Servco is the only official distributor with special distribution rights for 'Lexus Japan' in the US. That is why we can custom order pretty much anything. However many people from the mainland have bought Toyota/Lexus from here and it was cheaper to pay MSRP and ship to mainland than deal with predatory dealers in the mainland.
Was just able to secure a new is500 USB with black interior. its in ohio so i get to do a road trip to get it. My local dealer wanted over 2 grand to have it shipped here, so i passed and will just work with the local dealer there.
no idea how a usb with black interior popped up out of nowhere, but was able to snag it
